Getting to Barbados

Entry Requirements
All visitors must have a passport and valid return ticket. All visitors (excluding citizens of the Caribbean Community, the US, Canada, and the United Kingdom) are expected to obtain a visa before traveling to Barbados.
Check-in/Check-out
Check-in is at 3:00 p.m.. If you arrive before check-in, we'll hold your luggage so you can begin your vacation right away. Check-out time is 12:00 p.m. If your flight departs later, you can also leave your luggage with us and spend as much time as possible beside the sea, soaking up the sun.
Your Valuables
We provide complimentary room safes for your convenience and peace of mind. Alternatively, you may make use of safety deposit box at reception. Please do not take valuables on the beach, and where possible, do not leave items unattended.
Currency
The Barbados dollar is tied to the US dollar at a fixed rate of US$1.00 = BDS$1.98. The approximate rate of exchange for sterling is £1.00 = BDS$3.21, for Canadian currency, approximate CAD$1.00 = BDS$2.04 and the Euro is approximately EURO 1.00 = BDS$2.85. US currency is readily accepted everywhere on the island, while most restaurants and large stores accept travelers cheques and most major credit cards as well.
Electric Current
115/230 volts 50 cycles. Standard plug types in Barbados are two flat blades or flat blades with round grounding pin—most hotels provide converters for European or Asian appliances. North American appliances will not need converters.
WI-FI Coverage and Internet Access
Wi-Fi is available for a nominal fee of $15USD or a weekly charge of $100USD. There is also free internet access and wi-fi in the hotels’ business centre. Here you will have access to computers and printers. Your room is also Internet accessible.

For breakfast and lunch, shorts and sports clothing is acceptable. We would kindly ask that you cover your swimwear when accessing the restaurants and wear shoes at all times. Please check the dress code under each restaurant description as each restaurant has different attire requirements.
Average Temperatures
With an average daily high temperature of 78˚F / 26˚C, an average daily rainfall of less than ¼ inch and 3,000 hours of annual sunshine, it’s hard to imagine a place that enjoys weather any more perfect than in Barbados.
What to Bring
Pack lightly; one large suitcase with a carry-on is ideal. Casual wear is perfect, except for formal nights, theme nights, and restaurants that require full-length pants and collared shirts; the dress code is listed under each restaurant description.
Laundry and Dry Cleaning
We offer a laundry and dry cleaning service for hotel guests. Simply fill in the laundry form provided in your room and place the item(s) to be cleaned in the laundry bag. The bag will then be collected by Housekeeping. Please allow 48 hours for items to be returned.
